Jacksonville Condos for Sale

Jacksonville Condos for Sale

Jacksonville Condos for Sale Description

During the past several decades, Jacksonville has seen an upsurge in new Jacksonville condos construction. Northeast Fl homebuyers looking for beachfront, waterfront, golf & country club, retirement communities, intracoastal residences and greater Jacksonville Fl residential communities have many choices today. Conversion of existing rental units into condominiums has also added to the availability of condos apartment units in the greater Jacksonville Fl area. From 2000-2005, The Florida Times-Union Jacksonville.com reported that over 40 apartment complexes in Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties were converted into condominiums – nearly 70,000 individual units.  The Florida Times-Union reported that while previously there were issues that arose with some of the converted condos, today the probability of buying a condo that is problem free is excellent.

The rebirth of Jacksonville Florida’s downtown was spurred on by the renovation of some of Jacksonville’s oldest buildings into luxury condominium apartments. Visionaries saw the value of the architectural bonanza of historical buildings in the downtown area.  With this insight was born the Downtown’s “Vision Plan” which has injected a renewed sense of pride in the community and spurred the rebirth of their older buildings and neighborhoods. Gentrification of many communities followed. As noted in The People’s Media Company, Springfield, San-Marco, Avondale/Riverside as well as downtown have benefited from this renewed interest. Beautiful warehouses and schools are being converted into some of the most desirable Jacksonville condos style apartments. The Rochambeau Apartments in Jacksonville Fl Riverside historic district is home to 16 condos units and is a wonderful example of using an existing structure and converting it to luxury condos.

With this renewed interest in downtown real estate, developers realized the value of the St Johns River real estate. Impressive luxury condominium projects now provide multimillion dollar penthouses, one-three bedroom condos residences, and townhomes- featuring exceptional views of Jacksonville’s dynamic skyline and the St Johns River. Walk along the riverwalk, and enjoy a premier waterfront address at such communities as The Peninsula, San Marco Place, Shipyards, and Berkman Plaza 2 to name just a few.

The variety of condo units available in the greater Jacksonville Florida area are sufficient to met the needs of just about every Northeast and Jacksonville home buyer. Homebuyers looking for luxury oceanfront condos have numerous communities to choose from.
