When buying your first home

Jacksonville Real Estate News

Updated: Wednesday, May 23, 2012

As a first-time home buyer, it is important that you do not get ripped off. First timers are vulnerable to no-down-payment loans since they have no equity from an existing home. Many so-called "no-down-payment loans" are money-making scams for unsuspecting buyers. Nearly half of first-time home buyers bought their home with no money down.  If you desire to use a down-payment assistance program, work with well known organizations like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Their programs typically offer assistance to eligible families and first-time buyers who have at least $1,000 saved. Getting all your ducks in a row will allow you to be a confident and knowledgeable first-time buyer. Doing homework will pay off in the end when its time to buy your Jacksonville Florida home.
