While your north florida real estate agent can work with both buyers and sellers, some tend to concentrate more on one than the other. When you purchased your home, you probably used the services of a real estate agent. You probably heard about the agent through a friend, family member, or some form of advertising or marketing. The agent assisted you in finding the home of your dreams, making an offer, and sealing the deal. When selling a North Florida home for the first time tend to think all agents are similar to the one that helped them purchase their home. When you bought your home, you probably worked with a selling agent, and agent that works primarily with buyers. The nature of real estate advertising and marketing gives the public their main image of the real estate profession is that of the selling agent.
Many homeowners anticipate their listing agent to do the same things the selling agent did—find someone to buy their home. After all, they do things to make you think this: place a sign in the yard, ads in the newspaper and real estate magazines, hold open houses, and display your house on the internet. This is only the surface of marketing. There is more important activity that goes on behind the scenes. Once the for sale sign is out and flyers are printed, you agent’s primary goal is to market your home to other agents. The listing agent does not seek out individual buyers, but rather other agents.
