When potential buyers come to tour your house, there are some things you can do to enhance their experience. One of the first things a buyer will notice is the smell of your home, especially if you smoke or have pets indoors. If possible, air out your home a half hour before the showing. Bake some cookies or microwave a dish of vanilla before the showing to create a pleasant smell. After the buyer is enticed by the fabulous aroma you have created, continue your showing success by having all beds made. The linens should be clean and fresh. The closets should be organized. Any unnecessary items should be put in storage. The bathroom is a critical point that should be kept impeccably clean. Remove any soiled towels and wipe the shower area down after each use. If your caulking is not dazzling white, you should re-do it. The scent of your home and the look of the bathroom are two very important selling points of your home—don’t neglect them
