SilverLeaf Plantation:A Work in Progress

Jacksonville Real Estate News

Updated: Wednesday, May 23, 2012

SilverLeaf Plantation will be the second largest St. Johns County residential development in when completed. It is a mixed-use development near County Road 210 and International Golf Parkway. Ground breaking began in 2006 after developers spent a year gaining government and community support. SilverLeaf would be built over a series of 15 years on 7,500 acres. The project would include more than $100 million in roadwork, including $55 million spent to build a major road running parallel to I-95. The county has already committed to begin work by 2010 on the road. The development would have 10,700 residential units and 1.7 million square feet of non-residential space. Included would be six schools, a community center, and a regional park. SilverLeaf Plantation will definitely have it all.
