It is essential that buyers have an Understanding of the Condo Homeowner Association when purchasing a North Florida condo.  Knowing the covenants, codes, and restrictions of the Florida condo community you desire to live in is essential to your living experience. You should also look at how the association does the financial aspect. Find out if they expect an increase in the dues or if a special assessment is planned. You should also take the time to review the general budget. Find out if there are any problems with the plumbing or roofs that will lead to an increased cost or assessment down the road. A meeting with the association president will give you a general feel of the community. If the president seems to be more interested in knowing about all of the residents instead of maintaining the property, you may want to consider your desire to keep your own life private. Also, talk with residents of the complex about their views. Ask about the property manager, how things operate, politics, and their take on the financial situation. Finally, find out how things are run and organized. There is so much to learn, but the time will be well spent before buying Northeast  Florida condos
