The following information is valid for owners of Northeast Fl homes as well as non-home owners. When you experience a foreclosure or experiencing a bankruptcy, you may be concerned with how long it will appear on your credit report. Typically, one of these events will stay on your credit report for seven to ten years. When applying for credit after a experiencing a foreclosure or experiencing a bankruptcy, the conditions surrounding the foreclosure or bankruptcy will be taken into account by the lender. For instance, if you were simply overloaded with personal debts and lived outside of your income, the lender may not be so lenient with you. On the other hand, if your employer experienced difficult times and you lost your job or took a pay cut, the lender may be more willing to work with you. Other ways to obtain a loan before the foreclosure or bankruptcy is erased off of your credit report is to establish good credit. If you have built your credit up since the incident, the lender may be more apt to give you a loan. Experiencing a financially strapping time is no fun, but it can be dealt with over time. Jacksonville Fl homeowners can survive a foreclosure or bankruptcy.
